Stevenage Bus / London Country SM483 [DPD483J] is an AEC Swift 4MP2R with Metro-Cammell B41D body and was new in 1971 Although new to South Wales (468) in 1971 this vehicle, in the same year, quickly moved London Country as its SMW10 [XCY468J]. It is an AEC Swift 2MP2R with Marshall B53F body One of the first Leyland Nationals was London Country LN2 [KPA102K], an 1151/2R version with B46D bodywork dating from 1972.

From left to right we see Eastern Counties LC546 [VVF546] a 1957 Bristol SC4LK with ECW B35F body ; Eastern National 2506 [1651F], a 1958 Bristol LD5G with ECW H33/27R body ; Eastern Counties LK294 [LNG294] which was new in 1950 and is a Bristol KS5G with ECW L27/28R body At Lowestoft Corporation Depot on Rotterdam Road is Leyland Titan PD2A/30 / East Lancashire H34/28R number 8 [BRT668C] which dates from 1965 Thanks to those who have sent me info on this photo. It seems that it is an ex Luton Corporation Bristol RE 373 (PXE113G), the photo being taken at their depot after the take over by United Counties At the former Luton Corporation depot is a view of a Dennis Loline / Neepseed 842 (FXD182C) and an Albion Lowlander to the right

Barrow 108 is a Leyland FE30AGR with MCW H45/32F body. This was formerly London Transport DMS2041 and was new in 1976 Barrow 15 [NEO833R] is a Leyland National 11351A/1R with B49F integral body. It later became Ribble 760 and then Cumberland 760 in 1989. Cumberland 204 [AHH204T] is seen at Keswick. It is a Leyland National 10351B/1R with B44F bodywork Cumberland 208 (AHH208T), a Leyland National 10351B/1R with B44F body. It is seen at Whitehaven Cumberland Bristol RE with ECW bodywork 227 (TAO227G) caught on delivery at Formby when new Keswick is the scene for this view of Cumberland 405 [HHH276N] a Bristol VRTSL6LXB with ECW H43/34F body At this time research cannot find a Cumberland Leyland National with the registration ERM35K. I thought it may have been 350, but this is registered ERM350K and was a Leyland National 1151/2R with B52F body rebuilt from B48D.

New in 1969 to Burton Corporation, 105 [MFA805G] is a Daimler SRG6LW with Willowbrook B44F body. It was transferred to East Staffordshie on 1/4/74 and then on to Stevensons of Uttoxeter on 1/10/85 At Pleasureland Coach Park in Southport is Trent 5 [ECH5C]. This is a Leyland Leopard PSU3/3R with Plaxton Panorama C49F body and was new in 1964. Also at Derby is Trent [621CCH], a Daimler Fleetline CRG6LX with Northern Counties LD77F body that was new in 1963 West Midlands 1865 [TVP865S] is a Leyland National 11351A/1R/SC with DP45F body.

Guernsey and here are three examples of Guernsey Motors vehicles. 17 (1916) is a 1951 Austin KP with Thurgood B34F body 24 (372) is a 1948 Austin CXB with Thurgood B32F body 111 (21903) is a 1970 Bedford JS with Reading B35F body Many vehicles in the Jersey fleet at that time had overall adverts. Three examples on Ford R1014's with Duple bodywork are shown. This 1978 vehicle with B41F body advertises Phillips - 2 (J58917) Certainly not to be seen these days is an advert for Silk Cut cigarettes on 16 (J33704) of 1975 vintage and B44F bodywork Star Wars is advertised on 22 (J33703) a 1975 B44F vehicle 36 (J21177) is a 1968 Bedford SB5 with Duple Midland B42F body. It was in the fleet of Redline until 1976 A Ford R1014 / Duple B41F is 44 (J15031) dating from 1977. Here it is the standard livery Flying the flag at St Helier is 52 (J58932) a 1978 Ford R1014 with Duple B45F body advertising British Airways. Alongside is a 1962 Tiger Cub with Massey B45F body - 621 (J28621) Another Ford ? Duple combination is 1980 53 (J58125) with B45F body At St Helier is 613 (J26613), a Leyland Tiger Cub with Massey B40F of 1961 vintage. It has a reduced rear overhang and is only 27'6 The first of several members of the Jersey fleet is 1968 dated 682 (J7682), a Seddon Pennine IV with Pennine B32F body. I hope the driver takes note of the advert below his side window !! Vic's other Island Tour coach was this Bedford OB with Duple C29F body - FDL842 GHV502N was new in 1975 as London Transport B52. A 27 seater, it came from Pollard, Ruan Minor in 1983 Vic's Island Tour operated two vehicles. This was a Commer Avenger with Harrington coachworl - ORL357 Representing the Scilly Isles, and belonging to Woodcock Buses, are a pair of Bristol LH6L / ECW single deckers. SUO430H was new in 1970 as Western National 1565 and is a 43 seater

This passed to the Isle of Man National Transport in 1976 as 100 70 [KMN841] is a 1949 AEC Regent III with Northern Counties H30/25F bodywork At Douglas Bus Station is 74 [VMN666], an AEC Regent V with Metro-Cammell H30/26R bodywork. It was new in 1957 and passed, in 1976, to the Isle of Man National Transport as its 166 At Laxey is 8 [GMN778], another Leyland PD1A / Lancashire Aircraft vehicle At Ramsey is 49 [MMN299], a Leyland HR40 with Weymann B40F bodywork This Leyland PD3A/1 with Metro-Cammell H41/32F bodywork was new in 1964 as 59 [6MAN]. In 1969 it was renumbered and registered to 69 [869OHM] and reregistered again in 1970 to 69UMN Dating from 1952, 90 [NMN908] is a Leyland PSU1/13 with Leyland B44F body. It moved to IOM nAtional Transport in 1976 A second Leyland PSU1/13 with Leyland B44F body is 91[NMN909] New in 1956, 95 [TMN336] is a Leyland Titan PD2/20 with Metro-Cammell H34/28F body 698HMN when it was an Isle of Man Road Services vehicles. A later photo shows it with Tours (IOM) Opposite the Bus Station in Douglas is 17 (MAN52B) a Bedford YRQ with Willowbrook B47F body. This was new in 1975 and passed to Isle of Man National Transport in 1976 as 52 New in 1975, Bedford YRQ / Willowbrook B47F 18 (MAN138B) became National Transport 138 the following year. It is seen at Douglas Bus Station Built in 1951 as an AEC experimental vehicle is 31 (NMN355), an AEC Regal IV with Park Royal B38F body This Tiger Cub with Duple Midland DP41F body began life with Lancashire United (629). 41(238UMN) was photographed in Douglas Dating from 1939 is 50 (DMN650), an AEC Regent with Northern Counties H27/25R body. This photo was taken in 1968 New in 1957 was 74 (VMN666) an AEC Regent V with MCW H30/26R body One of the first Leyland Nationals on the island was 16 (MAN16D) with integral body built by Leyland to B52F layout On the same date we see Leyland Panther / Seddon B48D 4 (MAN7655) Taken on 2 July 1985 is Leyland National 20 (MAN20D) This is one of 27 former Merseyside Atlantean acquired during 1982-1984. It was renumbered to 8 in 1974 With Aldershot & District until 1967 was this Dennis Falcon with Strachan B30F body. 26 (26HMN) dates from 1956 A Bristol RELH6L in the former Road Services fleet is 38 (38UMN) with Duple Commander body at Douglas Bus Station Another RELH6L, this time with Plaxton C49F body, is 39 (39WMN) at Peel This was formerly a Stratford Blue and then Midland Red vehicle. 41 (MN41) is a Leyland Titan PD3/4 with Willowbrook H41/32F body. It dates from 1960, being ex Midland Red 2028 (2767NX) in 1973 Outside Port Erin depot is 52 (HMN788), a Leyland Tiger PS1 dating from 1947. It has ECW B35R body Ex Midland Red 2025 (537EUE) in 1972 is 1963 Titan 58 (MN58) Ex Bouremouth Corporation 169 (6169RU), this Leyland Titan PD3A/1 with Weymann H39/30F body came to the island in 1974. 80 (LMN80) was built in 1966 Ex Salopia of Whitchurch (ONT267G) in 1971 is VMN811, a Bedford VAM3 with Duple C45F body. Here we see 853 [XUF853] which was new in 1959 In Birmingham is Southdown 1106 [SUF906], a Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1/12 with Beadle C41C. It was new in 1957 Aldershot & District 402/12 [402/12COR]. Caught in Oban on 18 August 1987 Midland Scottish MT78 (UST2T) is a Ford R1114 with Duple Dominant I C49F body from Highland Scottish in 1985 Western Scottish V127 (GGE127X) is a Volvo B10M-61 with Duple Dominant III C46Ft bodyworl painted in the Scottish Citylink livery At Cavendish Place Coach Station is Midland Scottish MPT133 (B133PMS). In Scottish Citylink livery it is a Leyland Tiger TRCTL11/3RH with Duple Laser II C46Ft bodywork Also at Kyleakin on the same date (26 July 1988) is an identical vehicle - L230 (FAS375X) At Kyleakin on Skye we see Highland Scottish L251 (WFS152W), a Leyland Leopard with Alexander B62F body
